Today I come to you with a confession… When I first started out as an Interior Designer I was afraid – afraid of wallpaper. Its permanency scared me half to death and it seemed so much easier to stay safe in the comfort of plain white walls. I guess you could say I was a commitment-phone. Yes we have the luxury these days of removable wallpaper in some amazing, on-trend designs but even that scared me. Investing in a large sum of wallpaper (removable or not) is a big commitment!
Fast forward to today and I now have a bit of a wallpaper obsession. These days I’m all about colour and contrast, mixing patterns and prints and while white walls still have a place in my heart (and in my clients rooms) you really can’t deny the incredible boldness of an incredible wallpapered room!
If you’re keen to embellish your walls and you also have commitment issues check out etsy for some great sources for removable wallpaper – they are so easy to use (you don’t need to hire a professional), quick to remove when you fancy an update and they are perfect for renters!
